Dear DJ,
So, this is it. You finally made it. Today, you’ll put on a cap and gown and you will be...
The human condition depending on community? No man is an island? Is that the root of coincidence? I walked my dog, as I do every day and night. I crossed paths with a man walking his dog. Casey is a female, 17 year-old Chow/Retriever. My dog, Bear, is a male, 12 year-old Chow/Sheep Dog (Belgian Shepherd). She made me feel like he’d live forever- which he will (fingers in my ears, not listening).
I listened to the radio (Sirius/XM). I haven’t smoked a cigarette since May 22nd. No patches, pills, or the like, just determination. The crew on the air was discussing smoking and the various strategies they’ve taken. The only successful individual had gone “cold turkey” without chemical assistance.
Was it coincidence? Fate?
