yeah, I don't know either

me - humor, sarcasm, military, music, wine, food, work, school, baseball and hockey, books, contradictions... I was here for a while, but I haven't been there in quite some time.
I Like

I think we use superlatives entirely too much. I stepped outside in the evening and the weather was beautiful. The air smelled clean and I was very comfortable. I was enjoying it very much, but it wasn’t the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced, it was really just quite nice. Earlier that evening, after translating Latin, I had a great meal and a really good glass of wine. It was neither the best thing I’ve ever eaten nor the most fantastic glass of wine, but it was very good. Everything can’t be awesome, amazing, or the most _______ . Some things will just have to be kind of nice. It’s no wonder so many people are depressed and dissatisfied. We’ve come to expect so much from everything and everyone that anything less than the ultimate is a let down. There’s nothing wrong with a meal being “good”. It’s ok for a funny video online to be “funny”, rather than “the most amazing thing ever seen”. I’m going to try to appreciate things for what they are, maybe I’ll value the little things more.
